  • Best Season of Doctor Who yet!!!

    By Echo7

I stated it when season 8 came out that Peter Capaldi is hands down one of the best actors to potray the charater of the Doctor! I am a LONG time Doctor Who fan - I have watched nearly EVERY episode from the 1st Doctor to now! This season had it all - heartwarming themes, best enemies to fight, mind twisting conflicts, and even morality when it came to facing a dark past...Davros! There are a lot of Steven Moffat haters out there (just ignore them) - Moffat truly understands this show and has given something amazing not only to the new school Doctor Who fans, but to us old schoolers as well! And Peter Capaldi...what can I say...YOU are now MY Doctor!

Acting, script, music, sets, have all HUGELY improved in this season, I love it!
  • Astouding!

I liked Capaldi as The Doctor in season 8 but I just felt like the stories and and the writing were pretty poor. They all focused around death and not knowing who oneself is. It was a pretty depressing season and not one I will revisit soon. However! Season 9 is one of my favorites as a whole since... idk, the one with Martha Jones? (Not that I didn't like Matt Smith or Amy and Rory, but some of the story arks, especially the Silence, had me a bit more than confused.) This season is all about immortality and the pain and loss that comes with it. And some cameos from Game of Thrones (which I recently got into) so that was nice to see. All together it felt like everyone had more fun making this season and The Doctor's humor is more fun (where as last season it was pretty dark humor that just earned him a slap in the face.) Hell Bent is a fantastic "stuck in a room" brain twister who's twist really had me surprised! Really well done episode! As for that one found footage episode... I skipped over it. I heard bad things about it and didn't want it to sulley my experience soo.... 11/12 aint bad... right? Seriously, if you didn't like 8, give 9 a try and THEN decide if you don't like Capaldi's doctor. I love him now!
  • It Just Keeps Getting Better!

    By animelover160

Heaven Sent/Hell Bent are my all-time favorite episodes. Not only has the music score provided by Murray Gold continue to improve and astound me, but the stories of Doctor Who keep their elements of suspense and fascination, alongside some heartwarming scenes! The 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) shows genuine strength, witty and dark humor, and stature as the Doctor. Capaldi, without a doubt in my mind, has grown to become a significant Doctor that'll leave an everlasting impression on the legacy of Doctor Who.

  • Season 9 is Great!

    By Utah Viewer

Any concerns after last season's confusing story line are resolved as Season 9 lets Peter Capaldi shine as The Doctor! The first episode began the season strong and it only gets better each week. Love it!
