  • A Superb BBC Nature Documentary Series Masterpiece

    By Ollie_Knox

BBC's "Planet Earth" is a worthy documentary series that looks at the animals and plants in remote areas and the ever-changing ecosystems that look prone to collapse in the near future. Each episode explains how the animals live in particular habitats and shows captivating descriptions of this habitat and the animals in a breathtaking way…. The plants and animals of the earth are filmed in breathtaking natural surroundings. This series covers all different kinds of ecosystems from the deep seas, great plains, to the jungles, caves and etc. The camera work is truly breathtaking and captures amazing wonders of many areas on Planet Earth that remain unspoiled by human domination. This series is able to show the viewers how truly unbelievable our planet, Earth, truly is. The cinematography is just breathtakingly gorgeous. David Attenborough is a very excellent narrator. His narration harmonizes very well with the beautiful music and the energy of the current environment."Planet Earth" is indeed one of the best nature documentary series ever made by BBC. A truly remarkable nature documentary about Planet Earth! Nature is wonderful. Highly recommended for any animal lover, David Attenborough fan, naturalist, environmentalist and any person who enjoys watching educational nature documentary series!
  • TOOO SCARY!!!

    By annoyingorange823

I watched this in 5th grade and Did NOT like it. On the last Friday of the year, I had to read my big Nate book out in the hall (that was before I hated big Nate) and the show overall is stupid. The narrator speaks like an idiot. Not a very good documentary. It’s not a children’s doc. I can let my little cousins watch this. It’ll give them nightmares. And a lot of ugly images, made me throw up. This documentary has a lot of frightening scenes and ugly images. Inappropriate for all ages. Dear parents, don’t let your kids watch this. It’s not suitable for children.
  • Whats with the pricing???

    By not impressed0

A week ago this was $9.99, yesterday $19.99 and today $24.99. Hey iTunes, price gouge much?
  • nice visuals, low on facts

    By terwillikerme

The imagery is very nice but I finish an episode wondering what I learned. Seems to have a repetitive theme of look at the nice place... here are animals killing each other there... here is another nice place and more animals killing each other.
  • Attenborough is the best!

    By woodc

Its crazy how hard it is to find good documentaries on itunes but this is worth purchasing to watch over and over. Excelent value. Also, cant wait for Planet Earth II to come out, hope they dont make us wait too long and especially hope they continue to give us the origional version with David Attenborough, no watered down version made for the US market!
  • Must watch

    By Beeewhiz

Nature & documentary lovers this is a must watch. Attenborough is simply the best and one of a kind.
  • No Sigourney Weaver! :(

    By MG311

Such an breathtaking serious, but I wish they had the US Discovery Channel Edition narrated by Sigourney Weaver. I don’t like this guys voice.
  • Amazing!!

    By Cirrus99

Best documentary ever! It can get a little slow at times, but is still incredible. I didn't want to at first, but, even though it's expensive, the HD version is beautiful, and I would recommend getting it. And for those of you asking, the narrator is David Attenborough, the original narrator. I would much rather have him than Sigourney Weaver.
  • Best documentary ever, but...

    By freeheeler

The HD version looks absolutely terrible on a 60" LCD TV. Looks terrible on a 27" iMac, for that matter. What gives?
