Poldark, Season 2 English Subtitles

Huge downturn in the story this 2nd season. Repetitive lines (do the writers not read their own scripts) and Ross acting meanly (not talking about the ending), like saying Demelza is dazzled by that Scotsmans army uniform or getting fat, etc. I want more striving for a better life, human spirit, and the right amount of drama. First season was perfect in this respect.

Continues to exceed my expectations.

Well acted and well scripted--this is television at its finest. And it is also captivating. Please bring more!

This is the most amazing show to hit the PBS airwaves since Downton Abbey! I look forward to every episode and the cast is fabulous! A must watch!

Wow. The first season had a story line including intrigue and romance. Episode 1 season 2 is inspirationally lacking.

Okay, so I may be a dinosaur. But I have a Classic iPod that up until now, has been compatible with everything I've ever bought on iTunes. But apparently, Poldark Series 2 is too high quality in STANDARD DEF, to be transferred to my iPod! Right now, I'm royally ticked off. Why the heck is iTunes putting out media for sale that won't play on it's own devices? And when/where was the warning, letting customers know that this series, and whatever else they've done this with, was now incompatible with the old Classic iPods? I've spent $15.00 for a series that I love and have been anticipating for months, intending to play it on my TV through my iPod. And only AFTER I buy the season, do I discover that oh no, suddenly now that's not going to happen? REALLYY?? I have been a loyal customer of iTunes for a long time. I've bought many, many series, movies and music items through the iTunes store. And yes, I admit, I'm old and behind the times with some tech, and maybe this is something everybody knew about and I'm the only one who's taken by surprise here. But guess what--this old dinosaur was a high-dollar customer who spent a lot of money here. There should be a dinosaur option here for dinosaurs like me who want to watch this on their old iPods, or at least something posted to let us know that it won't work BEFORE we spend the money. This is just unbelieveably poor customer service. iTunes, if you're listening, this is the LAST TIME I BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU. PERIOD. POLDARK SERIES TWO: FIVE STARS for being absolutely brilliant in every way! iTunes: NEGATIVE FIVE MILLION STARS. (That is the only reason this has a one star rating.) Kiss my business bye-bye, iTunes. I'm going to AMAZON PRIME from now on for EVERYTHING!!!!

This series has it all. Romance, drama, action. Aidan Turner shows more love in a tender smile and a simple kiss on the forehead than any other show on TV. His Character Ross Poldark is not a perfect person and because of that he feels real. The actors, writers, and crew are doing this series proud.

I would have to say that I am a Huge Poldark fan! I have watched Season 1 -34 times...yes 34 times! Season 2 is just as wonderful. The chemistry between the characters is unbelievable!

I've seen the first two episodes on bbciplayer and the characters, the story will continue to compel you. Aidan Turner is great actor and his chemistry with onscreen wife Demelza (played by Eleanor Tomlinson) is just off the charts! I am looking forward to Poldark S2's US premiere on PBS Masterpiece.
