    Twenty-first sensibilies in the Wizard of Oz. The story can be less than compelling at times, but the characters are vividly portrayed.

    Good story line, enjoying the charetcers (some less than other) but overall its a good show to watch and can’t wait for them to renew to Season 2!! ready to preorder!!!

    I discovered this show on a Sunday morning and watched the entire season that same day. Such an amazing storyline, acting is phenomenal, and AMAZING costumes. Honestly if you're going to spend your money on something from NBC, this should be it. Don't sit on it.

    While the series is visually stunning the story is lacking and while the first few episodes are amazing they quickly devolve into a confusing mess. There is no empathy for 90% of the characters and you basically get to choose which sociopath to cheer for. It's sad because it had so much potential.

    There's a lot of reading between the lines of the content of the show so if you're looking to be mindlessly entertained this isn't the show for you. If you've read the and enjoyed Gregory Maguire's books, Wicked, Son of a Witch, etc. You'll enjoy this adaptation of Oz. The book Wicked and the musical Wicked are two very different concepts. Emerald City is dark with plot twists and lots of foreshadowing. Spoiler Alert! I love the ending which leaves it open to do a season two hopefully based on the movie Return to Oz staring Fairuza Balk. Overall A+

    This show took me by complete surprise. I didn't know what to expect before watching the first episode, but after giving in, I was completely hooked. I binged watched the full season leading up to the finale. I really hope NBC renews for a second season. They have alot to build and improve upon and they have the talent to do so. I keep coming back for the interesting characters (West, Dorothy, Lucas, and Tip!!) and the lush atmosphere. I pray for more!!
