How to Use Subtitles for the Doctor Who: Shada Videos

Move the subtitle files into the same folder as your video files.

Rename the subtitle files to exactly the same name as your video files. e.g. Doctor Who: Shada_Episode_1.mp4 and Doctor Who: Shada_.srt.

Open the Doctor Who: Shada video in VLC or your media player. The subtitles will automatically appear in the video. If it does not, check if the Doctor Who: Shada srt files are correctly named, then close and restart your video player.

Shada is a unique reconstruction of the one incomplete and un-transmitted Doctor Who story from the 1970s, starring Tom Baker. Chris Parsons finds an old book in an ageing professor's library. He soon finds himself aboard an invisible spaceship, chased by monsters made of molten rock, and attacked by mind-control zombies. Chris also meets a strange man with a very long scarf who claims he can travel through time and space... in a police box.

Tom Baker is a world treasure

Long-time Doctor Who (and Douglas Adams) fans have been waiting for this for decades! Not only did Tom Baker, Lalla Ward, and the rest of the original cast voice the animations, but several of the original production crew and equipment were brought on to reproduce the look and feel of the original scenes. That's a labor of love, and it shows. A great story, witty dialogue, and Tom Baker still delivers the Doctor's lines brilliantly. Even though I'd seen earlier attempts at releasing the existing scenes with commentary in between, this was like watching a brand new Fourth Doctor serial! Loved it!
