Viewer Reviews

  • Disgraceful

    By Ragnarhasknots

Rebels may not have ended correctly, but many of its episodes and features were masterpieces. The Clone Wars took FOREVER to get an ending, and could be a little too dark sometimes, but it was nevertheless an epic entry into the canon. This kiddie show can’t fart in the wind to save its life from dysentery infecting it’s immature bowels. It reeks to high heaven, and recalls the kiddie classic Hot Wheels World Race more than its two monolithic predecessors. Age range 2-8 years old, not inclusive for adults, and yet this be called canon? Repulsive trash! Bah, be gone!
  • Awesome show, cool animation.

This is pretty entertaining and gives good backstory in the Star Wars universe, I recommend Star Wars fans give this a look.
  • Another Great addition to the Star Wars universe!

I’m one of those older Star Wars fans who grew up as a kid in the 80’s with the OT. Some my hands down favorite stories come from the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons. This is yet another great addition! I watched this show when it first came out last year, and have just recently been watching the episodes in quick succession in preparation for the second and final season. The first time through... I liked the show well enough.. but this second round through, I am surprised by its subtle brilliance and attention to detail. Details not just with animation (which is gorgeous) or sound (which is spot on Star Wars)... But also with the script and story line. There really is a LOT of gold here. I’m greatly anticipating season two!

Will Tam Learn The Truth of the First Order's True Color? 3. Will Kaz and Synara Become A Couple? 4. And Will Kaz Gonna Face Off Against The Final Villains of His Story? Find Out On The Final Story of Star Wars Resistance (Season 2). May The Force Be With You.
  • Not the quality of art or storytelling I would expect...

    By iMikeyPro

I pretty like everything Star Wars, and while I don't hate this show... I just couldn't get into it, or justify buying the whole season. The animation is like a dated cell shading, that was impressive in the 90's, but now feels like you're watching the cut scenes to an old video game. Story is too bubbly and happy go-lucky... There's always been comic relief, but there's also always been a darker tone. I get that it is for children, but perhaps the resistance arc just isn't the best story for children...
  • Boring from an adult perceptive

    By TicketyTocks

This is clearly intended for kids and maybe they’d love it? But as an adult it’s incredibly boring with little to no new information about the new Star Wars universe.
  • Booooooo... so bad!

Ok first things first. I started watching this show with an open mind. And while I definitely love the original canon (while Lucas owned Star Wars) I have generally had a high opinion for all the new (Disney) Star Wars stuff... even though The Last Jedi was disappointing. Coming after Star Wars The Clone Wars/Rebels amazing story, animation, and writing. This obviously had a lot to live up too. It did not, in anyway, come close to its predecessors. First thing about the the animation is, it’s extremely colorful, too much actually. It’s not very realistic. Second thing about it is the fact that it is EXTREMELY jerky when they talk, they’re like puppets. A few other logic problems. Why did Poe let this random kid have his droid? His, and I quote. “Orange and White BB unit, one of a kind.” This kid fell onto the windscreen of a ship probably doing 200 to 300 miles an hour without injuring himself. He then proceeded to fall 30 feet into a bunch of metal crates, still without injury. If this is gonna be one of those shows where the main characters never have ANYTHING bad happen to them. Then great job. (Not putting in ANY effort to bring out the emotions of your viewers, like this guy watched his planet explode and he didn’t even shed a tear). Also, this show seems to be targeted at a SEVERELY younger audience then Rebels and The Clone Wars, just sayin. I’m sorry. You can call me butthurt. But this is my honest opinion. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. If you like it, you can keep it. I will definitely pass. Especially considering Dave Filoni did this. On the other hand, I can’t wait for “The Mandalorian”. Maybe that one won’t be as disappointing, especially considering it’s live action. Revision: Another reviewer decided to argue some of the points I made in my previous review, So I have to revise it. First thing, I will give you this. There is a chance, however remote, that Poe Dameron would give some random kid his droid so they could have covert communication. But aren’t there specialized droids, that the resistance, however poorly funded, would have specifically for that reason? And doesn’t it seem lazy to you that they just used BB-8 instead of coming up with a new character? Seriously though. Secondly. Said reviewer also claimed that the ship that Kaz (the main character) falls onto is only going around 120 mph. And that after hitting said ship he only falls around 90 meters. This point that he made I think is invalid because if you got hit head on at 120 miles per hour, while you yourself were going pretty fast after falling 20 feet, AND THEN fell another 90 meters (295 feet) onto a stack of metal crates. I think you would be dead or severely injured. Or, on TV, clutching your ribs or at least bruised. Third and last point: that other guy uses Rhodes, who fell 1,200 meters, as example. Saying that “He walked away virtually unharmed!” Even though Rhodes was wearing a futuristic suit of armor, and is now paralyzed from the waist down. He isn’t doing much walking. Considering our character was wearing street clothes, I don’t think this is a good comparison. All in all, I do not think this show is very good and that’s my opinion. Will be looking forward to future series.
