Nightflyers, Season 1 English Subtitles

The show has a few good ideas but many bad ideas as well. Watching it is like trying to ignore the bad so that u can breath in the good. Casting is an issue. Also writers can’t seem to figure out if the show is a horror flick (aka shining) or proper sy fi explorer (aka trek) or sy fi horror (aka aliens)...or haunted house... what is going on here and what is the point? From a plot perspective, who in their right mind would send this crew and this ‘ship’, with its additional borderline super natural cargo to engage with a foreign, presumably sentient, visitor into our solar system? It boggles the mind... Also - Pls, pls turn off the memory machine. It’s bad for u. Captain...or someone...anyone...perhaps a junior member of the crew looking for quick promotion...just disable it. The characters could be slightly cleverer... 3 stars bc I like the genre and would like to encourage a rethink. There is at core possibly something here. I am actually not sure what. Recommend - Rethink, refocus, redeploy.

If you are going to make a scifi show... learn high school physics first. Acceleration is not handled correctly in the show. Several other dumb things in the first episode like, everyone strapped into chairs on the bridge so they are safe from acceleration, but the emergency controls are out of reach so you have to unstrap and fly around smashing into things to get control back. And you can't disconnect from a direct interface with a computer without dying... I won't watch another episode.

So far it's good. Update: I have seen up to eps. 6 and I really like it so far. (I could do without few the se# scenes.) I love the sci-fi in this one. I don't get the bad reviews must be fans of the new Doctor who season. I have been waiting for a really good sci-fi show since the stop making Dark Matter and I've found it. I just hope this has a lot of seasons. Sci-fi check list. Crazy killer AI Alien life Outer space L1- telepath super powerful VR world Blood and Gore Cults And that is just in the first 6th eps. who knows what more will come.

...of all the movies that did a better job of covering this ground. When my head wasn’t pounding from the horrible soundtrack, I genuinely felt embarrassed for the actors giving their best impersonations of actors in better films. The blatant borrowing from The Shining, 2001 & Alien (to name a few) was groan-inducing. If you’ve never seen a Stephen King or modern sci-fi film, you’ll probably love this. They should have called this “Game of Groans”.

I really wanted to like this show. But it’s just awful.

This show starts out slowly but builds up to an intriguing climax! Well worth watching if you have time to spare. If this show gets a season 2 then I will be watching! Nice work SYFY!

I think the hype behind this show was too much. It's NOT Game of Thrones! It is entertaining though! Comparisons to Event Horizon and Sunshine are fair but I wish it were scarier...

It does start off odd but After the first few episodes it really kicks off. I really enjoy this show! Great job!
