From Executive Producers Lorne Michaels and Elizabeth Banks comes Shrill, a comedy series starring Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) as Annie, a fat young woman who wants to change her life — but not her body. Annie is trying to start her career while juggling bad boyfriends, a sick parent, and a perfectionist boss. Along the way, Annie will weigh the pros and cons of having a child with her hook-up buddy and the decision-making process will force her, with help from her best friend Fran, to figure out who she is and what she wants from her life. She will also write her first article, and she will finally ask for more from the people in her life than she has before. She hits a setback when an internet troll appears and tries to drag her self-esteem back down where it started. But she will ultimately promote body positivity and explain exactly what it’s like to be a fat woman in today’s world.

  • So lovely

Thank you for this wonderful series. Well written, produced, acted etc. Full marks all around..thank you for hitting the right note on this subject, a delight!
  • More boring junk from ex-SNL'ers.

    By Danny Reichart

Just another show getting made because an actor who worked at SNL networked, rather than a good story or good writing. This is as unbearably forced as Seth Meyers and his talk show, and if ex SNL'ers are going to do stuff so they can pay up the ladder they're not going to do it at my expense. My time and money is too valueable to me for that.
  • I tried, but no thank you.

    By 700 Pages

Written around a very "the way I think about things is the only right way" kind of attitude. I can't even try to focus on the story, I keep hearing the writer's politics. When you speak, write, or act like everyone sane agrees with your point of view, it's condescending, annoying, and arrogant.
