J.J. Abrams, the creator of <i>Lost</i> and <i>Alias</i>, teams up with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (<i>Mission: Impossible 3</i>, <i>Transformers</i>) to create this highly anticipated drama series. Featuring Australian newcomer Anna Torv, Josh Jackson, John Noble and Lance Reddick, the first electrifying season of <i>Fringe</i> follows an unlikely trio who uncover a deadly mystery that may be part of a larger and more disturbing pattern that lives somewhere between science fiction and reality. As the season begins, FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Torv) is called in to investigate a mysterious outbreak that nearly kills her partner. The only person with any answers is an institutionalized scientist, Dr. Walter Bishop (Noble) who can only be released under the care of his estranged son (Jackson). Together, the three discover that the answer to this mystery is only a small piece of a much larger, more shocking truth. Find the patterns . . . right here, on iTunes!

  • Poor script, laughable production

    By JamesT.Kirk

Interesting premise, but with a laughable plot and B-movie production style. It's like a modern-day version of the X Files for people with really low IQ.
  • Does Anyone Else Notice This When They Watch?

    By Mark-ster

The good: The premise of this show is awesome. The Bad: The sequencing of the writing is lazy, thus the characters are forced to do increasingly stupid things just to move the plot from A to B. This is the problem with J.J. Abrams stuff. It is unintelligent and it does not care that it is unintelligent because it is convinced that you are. Does anyone else even notice this stuff or do I live on a planet of nitwits? I do love Anna Torv though. Most beautiful girl in the world. I loved how smart she was at the start of the series. Then the lazy writing dumbed her down and made the show unwatchable for me.
  • Do Not Think, GET IT!

    By Rino The Bouncer

I’m a huge fan of sci-fi, conspiracy theories, the aliens, mystery, thriller, action and the supernatural/the unknown, in general. And to be quite honest, I was reluctant to get Fringe as I’ve neither watched it on T.V., seen trailers or anything. I was fortunate enough to just take a leap of faith and buy the first season. Since that day, I got hooked to an amazing world full of wonderful scientific/pseudo-scientific phenomena/theories coming to life not to mention the brilliant characters who vary from serious, beautiful, to mysterious, to funny, sexy, fierce, evil and cunning. Each episode presents a new mystery that our heroes will explore and solve, while the main story will evolve as you progress through the season. I advise you not to think about getting it, don’t waste time thinking. Just get all 5 seasons and watch them one after the other. It will be a journey of a lifetime.
  • Not a sci-Fi fan, but wow

    By Brookelyn111

Ordinarily I wouldn't watch a show like this. But one night I couldn't sleep so upon receiving many recommendations I watched the first few episodes. Then I became completely hooked. Now I'm almost finished with season 2 and the show just keeps getting better. I find that I'm staying up really late just so I can watch as many episodes as possible. The acting is very good (which is unlike many sci-Fi genre shows). The premise is fantastic and is acctually rooted in real sciences (believe it or not). And J.J. Abrams pulls out a flawless (or almost flawless but I haven't found flaws) show (unlike Lost which was riddled with flaws and unanswered questions).
  • Fringe season one

    By Fringe _lover _12

The amazing backstory of fellow CBI agent, Olivia Dunnen flows into the plot of Fringe, weaving into several episodes. The director of Fringe has really outdone itself making it captivating and draws you to following seasons. Review by Lidia Bodamer 12yrs
  • Just horror crap

    By StoryDelver

    Disgusting, boring, and cliche. Worthless.
  • The start of something great

    By Emmit Devay

I was not sure about Fringe at first. Seemed very X-Filesy. Then they embraced the crazy and ran with it. It's pretty great.
  • Pretty darn good for tv sci-fi

    By nocrickets

We sci-fi junkies put up with a lot of crap from tv, going all the way back to Captain Video and continuing through Battlestar Galactica and Defiance. Sure, Fringe is X-Files: The Next Generation, with some Lost thrown in, and star Anna Torv is the poor man's Cate Blanchett. But still, the ideas, writing and production values are all good for tv sci-fi.
