<i>NYC Prep</i> chronicles the lives of a group of privileged teenagers who are key players in Manhattan's elite high school scene. Students who travel in packs – whether it's to Gstaad on vacation or to a townhouse for an exclusive midnight party – their lives intertwine as they network, shop, party, study, date and write college applications. Everyone's beautiful and everyone's connected. On the surface, it seems that these teens live an enviable life. They have access and privilege to spare, and can't imagine that anything or anyone, will get in their way. Over the course of the series, see them on the benefit circuit, viewers will get to know their families, doormen, their entourage (trainers, college application advisors, stylists) and their guys/girls of the moment. But privilege has its price. Despite their carefree lives, the pressure of lofty expectations can sometimes be too much for even the most confident teenagers.

    I watched the 30 second preview of the sneak peek and I could already tell these were a bunch of selfish snobs >: l. Bad show... if I could give it no stars, I would.

    OOOKAAAY not the top of my i wanna watch list they are all snobby rich kids who are just telling the world a fake sob story!!!! they rep the worst of NY!!! But i dont think thats the case with them all. Heck if you have so much money and dont know what to do and your sooooooooo sad your parents arnt there GO DO SOMTHING ABOUT IT!!!! My friends in NYC can make a scrapbook that i would buy for a milli dollars b4 for i even say ill buy this excuse for a show!!!! i could bet the kids paid for someone to make this show. I feel bad cuz they think that there the happyest people in the world but everyone else is gonna look once then focus on the rest of the world

    I read the other reviews and against by better judgment I purchased only the first episode to see if I would like it. I was wrong. All the reviews were right, this is the most boring show. The kids are trying way to hard to be snobby and upperhanded. The show is trying t be a real life Gossip Girl and it is so FAR from that. The guys are a bunch of dorks who think they are cool....very annoying. Then they claim to have a facebook page just like the gossip girl blasts on the show. News Flash- I wouldnt want to know what any of them are doing. If there is such a facebook page (and I wouldnt look for it) they should shut it down immediately because none of the people on the show are worth following OR gossiping about. Good idea for the series, but the characters and the way it was introduced just fails. TERRIBLY FAILS.

    I go to Nightingale and Camille is a shame to the school. We all look down on her because of the stupid decision she made to join this terrible show about stupid teenagers. Teenagers like this exist all around the world not just on the upper east side of Manhattan and it gives the schools that we all go to a bad reputation. I've seen Jessie and PC on the street a couple of times and they look disgusting and not like any other kids. This TV show is unrealistic and stupid. One Star

    whish there were zero stars this is the a bad immitation of gossip girl they dont even try to do it good seriously i think that jessie is a bowl of crap like i mean the world doent revolve around here and her cross eye. and pc is just gay and is so superficial. and kelli is just stupid and camile thinks she is perfect and that she is so great and sebasttian thinks he hookes up bbut he probobly does it with pc and taylor is so ungrateful she is just a ugly superficial poor girl. she just cares about having money and good social status which by the way she lacks and she thinks she is new queen bee she never was and never will she probobly got that from leighton meester from gossip girl. and talking of jessie hates gossip girl and thinks she is the real one and thinks that there is a facebook group that says things about her that gossip girl said first news flash there is no such group that group is about as fake as she is thinking she is the real gossip girl. at the end dont waste your money on this crap you will regret it

PC just come out of the closet already!!! jessie please you hate gossip girl? and your the real gossip please get reall!!!! nobody believes your the real gossip your a plain wannabe a brat and nobody should like his show!!! its all full of stupidities !! kelli she shouldnt be independent shes not even of age! sebastian a player?? what kind of girl would date him?? seriously !!! taylor is the most wannabe of all and shes so shallow she only cares abut money and social statues i woudnt even be friends with her by the way she acts in the show!! camille she thinks shes so mature and shes not!! this show is such a waste of time if they even do a second season nobody should buy it! taylor the next queen bee?? please nobody would follow her the only queen bee is leighton meester in gossip girl !! this show just wants to make me puke !!! i seriously hate it !!

    Even if this show is only for entertainment value only. Why bother watching it? Better off watching Real Life on MTV instead. Atleast they have real issues that teenagers and people in general deal with everyday. The OC and bad soap opera deal mixed with maybe a bit of comedy gets old fast.

    The only reason why anyone would watch this show is to crack up at how moronic it is, or because they enjoy watching some people act like they're the best in the world. (I get enough of that from my school, so I didn't need these shows!) Plus it is a complete rip off of Gossip Girl and the Hills. The only thing is the originals are SOOO much better. And I am in Manhattan every Saturday, and NO ONE acts as ridiculously as these people. Seriously, people, stick with Gossip Girl. It's easier on the eyes (which is saying something).
