Louie is an edgy comedy series filtered through the observational humor of comedian Louis C.K. A blend of stand-up routines and offstage vignettes, the series revolves around Louie’s hectic life as a successful stand-up comedian and a newly single father co-raising his two daughters with his ex-wife. Louie’s experiences as a forty-something man back on the dating scene after years of marriage creates an endless supply of hilarious, and often disastrous, results.

The one-man show equivelant of Modern Family (except much less family-oriented). Very well made and produced.
• GREAT FIRST SEASON!

By ChrisPaps

Rarely do shows fire on all cylinders in the first season. Usually you will see the basis of a shows comedy or potential for comedy and you go from there into season two(if the show gets a second season). With Louie, this show hit the ground running, didn't pull any punches, and created on of the more original comedy shows of the decade. If your a fan of comedy, this is a must have! Buy this season and enjoy, you will not be dissapointed.
• No Funny

I've liked everything I've seen Mr CK do until now. This TV show is not funny. I watched the first 4 or 5 shows but now I just delete them when they are downloaded.
• excellent show

By jbruns29

This show is beyond hilarious. If you are 40 something and have 2 young kids like myself you will relate to this show!! Its crude, rude, funny and poigant all at the same time. The stand up portions are great and the 2 shorts per episode are too. The 2 episodes with Ricky Gervais as Dr. Ben had me in tears from laughing. Hard to believe the langage he gets away with, but its FX. If you or your spouse are not into foul language - do not watch. Definitely don't watch with kids around. Loved the last 2 episodes, but all are great.
• Wait, what's with the same actress playing his date in one episode, and his mom in a flashback?

By Janturbo

This is my favorite comedy on all of TV, and the latest episode, God, is one of the best ones yet. But there's a weird, freudian piece of popcorn stuck in my teeth (so to speak), to wit: the Actress Amy Landecker playing Louie's mom in the 70's flashback, after having played his date (in the present) in Bully, two episodes back. She does a bang-up job all around, and I'd be thrilled to see her in a recurring role on the show. But casting her as both your love interest and your mom without any explanation is just... kinda weird I guess. And also, how does his mom go from being kind and considerate is this supposed flashback, to being the loathsome adult-baby he portrayed her as in the episode where she comes to visit him? Maybe it's all building up to some end of the season twist that none of us could ever see coming; in which case, hats off! In any event, it doesn't even come close to ruining my enjoyment of one of the greatest comedy series ever.
• Louis CK is my hero

By baseboardmatt

I'd give this show 10 stars, or a quadrillion if it were possible. That last episode with the dentist visit blew me away! Shockingly truthful, awkwardly hilarious, Louis says out loud the things you are sometimes embarrassed to even quietly think about. And for this, Louis, you are my hero. I'm astounded this show is even on the air! Louis, you have balls, my man. Huge ones.
