  • Very Enjoyable Series, A Lot Of Fun!!!

    By Jolie Lives

Jolie Lives- While watching this Series, when it aired for the 1st time on TV, I found that I really enjoyed many episodes, while others-eh. Go to: Many years later, stuck inside or a minimum of 6 feet away from other people, (not that I find it a particularly extraordinary species, but ...) learning that the Pandemic causing virus has become Airborne-no surprises there! Viruses are just (truly, viciously bloody brilliantly consistent, given their constant capabilities in out-thinking, adapting & basically ignoring almost everything Big Pharma conjures up to try to destroy them/it. I don’t intend to sound impressed, it’s just a tad disheartening, knowing the little about their nature I do. It was bound to go Airborne! Anyway, a “Leverage” Episode, from Season 3 was on & my TV box recorded it. I have to admit to getting a big kick out of watching it! It’s a “Thinking person’s” version of “Mission Impossible”. Minus the alphabet soup the MI characters are predominantly employed by. “This tape will self destruct in ...” mantra is replaced by, “We operate from an alternative revenue stream.” The “Leverage” Team is comprised of thieves. Each of whom, operated independently & successfully. Until Academy Award winner, Nate (Timothy Hutton), is “asked” to bring all of the thieves together. For ‘just one job’, as the 1 honest man, Nate’s an ex-Insurance Investigator. Nate was badly screwed over by the Insurance Co. he worked for. Each Team member has a specialty, which makes the job-lets start with-Fun & Interesting! Until it isn’t “Fun” for the Team, anymore. Step in, Con-Man Nate & “The Grifter”. The next 34 minutes are whack, fun, but like nothing I’ve ever seen on TV before! It’s full of twists & turns & is fun to watch- while playing along, as we watch. The 2nd Episode opens with Nate explaining to people/clients, who have been severely messed with, how- “The rich & powerful take what they want. We get it back for you!” And they do, often with a little “justice” served on the overly greedy! Series (1-5) are like a ‘good wine’, most of the bottles of wine get better with age. While some aren’t sealed correctly or stored properly, though there aren’t many ones. During these days, which lack wine & roses (tho I don’t particularly care for either. I’m more of a daisy, peonies & dark chocolate kind of person.) & no type of any formula for a long life or health. Making TV come back on the list of acceptable, occasional, can- dos. Enjoyable TV sounds like an oxymoron. (The sounds of people speaking, for educational purposes or solely for intentional, mindless escape-are all reasons.) After listening to music, TV gives your eyes or brain a rest & is an inexpensive escape! (Some may say that Sanity is one of the most treasured commodities these days!) A rest from reading, writing or suddenly- needing to stay home, with your family & children-all day, everyday now, wow! The “Leverage” Series has more thoroughly Episodes then not. With quite a few laugh-out-loud moments. Which, I don’t know about you, but for me- when I hear something that causes me to lol these days, I feel very lucky to be a human-being & alive! Maybe even more so, with what’s about to happen in America! For a thoroughly enjoyable good time, watch the “Leverage” Series or any 3 Episodes. I believe that you’ll find yourself enjoying at least 1. I just realized, I feel like I’m writing, “For A Good Time, Call ...” on a public bathrooms stall! Well, I guess I can cross that 1 off, if it was on my Bucket List! Not. Stay safe & sane & please-try not to do anything dumb enough to bring this bloody virus home with you! It would be even worse if you realized that your behavior, was in any way a contributing factor to someone you love, getting sick. Front Liners - Thank You All! You’re Amazing!! I wish I had the funds to treat all of you to any 3 episodes of this Series. To watch when you have a moment to yourselves. When you’re not sleeping or refueling yourselves. Stay healthy and sane please❣️

Pretty decent. Sat on my iPad for weeks before I got bored enough to watch. I don't know about 40 bucks for the season though.
