    This is a new spin on the old style of TV noir comedy dramas, remember the nuclear family when cop shows were new and fresh. Hitchcock would smile to have made this show possible today, yet it lacks the young hip, speediness of action genres that todays pop culture feeds on; so it will never bring in a huge following. I love the actor playing Jane and the cliffhangers with Red John still taunting himself.

    Too cartoonish to be a drama, waaaay too dramatic to be a cartoon. In order for the red John character to be what he is cracked up to be he would have to be a god, a literal, sitting atop mount Olympus hurling lightning bolts at unlucky mortals god. Also the acting is terrible, the writing goes nowhere, slow and the whole thing comes across as a long list of first world problems. Strike that, rich people in the first world problems, the only way I cold imagine this show being redeemed is if the camera slowly pans out on a dead body and the whole show is revealed to be a self congratulating dream of mr Jane. Dreamt while he is in a mental asylum because he went nuts and killed his family.

    I love the show. That much is a given. I give the show 5 stars. But iTunes? Why does it take so long to deliver the show after it airs? It's not like CBS is going to lose any money by making it immediately available. We pay for it, and quite a lot, actually. What is the value of making us wait? Ok, I still give the show 5 stars. I wouldn't want to degrade it because of iTunes, but iTunes gets 1 star for service. Currently, the entire 5th season has disappeared from iTunes Store. Maybe that's customary when they're about to put up the new episode, but I've never seen that happen. What gives? Questions, questions. No answers. Sometimes I wonder why I do this. Oh yes… so that we can watch it uninterrupted. But the delays make me wonder sometimes if this is the best route. Well, soon it should be up and I should forget my concerns. I'll try to be patient, but the truth is that I am not happy about the delays.
