Travel across the globe and back in time through hundreds of millions of years with this digital premiere of Planet Dinosaur. Using unique hi-tech graphics, Planet Dinosaur brings to life the most awesome and amazing creatures that ever lived. Almost all the dinosaurs featured were discovered in the last few decades and led to a requisite rewriting of the prehistoric literature books. Palaeontologists now know that dinosaurs existed in every part of the globe, and evolved in ways so monstrous, horrific and bizarre they make T Rex look tame. Unlike any dinosaur program before, Planet Dinosaur is a completely immersive visual experience studded with curious facts and jaw-dropping action as well as charismatic monsters. Presenting a brand-new global perspective on the prehistoric era, this season re-creates the creatures, their habitats and how they lived, from analyzing their bones to watching them fight to the death.

Good except for watching baby dinosaurs being tortured. What the hell were they thinking?
  • Very informational

After watching the 1999 Walking with Dinosaurs series, I searched for another dinosaur documentary and found this. Definitely worth the $16.99 I paid! Each episode is 28 minutes of interesting, action-packed analysis with computer generated dinosaurs! A lot of the facts source the location and date of findings that lead to the conclusion. Very interesting show! Hope BBC makes more dinosaur documentary shows!

SubhanAllah, look what has come before us, Planet Dinosaur is such a great documentary.
  • Worth every dollar

As a huge paleo fan, this is probably one of the best made shows I've seen. The cgi is well done, dinosaur posturing is more in line with contemporary evidence, and the scenes are not filled with roaring monsters that detract from behavioral education. A few of the smaller theropods could have been portrayed with a bit more feathery integument, but the show still manages to portray them as real animals rather than Jurassic park monsters. I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more liberty taken with regards to speculative reconstructions as well. All of these complaints are minor and this will remain a favorite.
