Viewer Reviews

  • S1 was flawless and misunderstood

    By OmarFig1989

I have to respectfully disagree with everyone here writing without knowing the talent behind this show. As a huge Twilight Zone fan ... the show itself is very well done for this generation. It has great performances, beautifully crafted cinematography, and S1 reboot cameos are well placed. As someone who experienced a truly life-threatening flight, I can promise you that the creators really took their time to make everyone and their surroundings presentable to people who once experienced the true fear of no escape. I loved it and it reminded me of my own episode of The Twilight Zone.
  • Of course, it’s political

    By TischGirl

The Twilight Zone was always political, and Jordan Peele understands that. Love the politics of the original and this remake (hated the other remakes). Great care has been put into this show.
  • Too political

    By Malus92

The original twilight zone is a good show that has political connotations if you look beyond face value. This iteration of the series has partisan politics front and center and impossible to ignore. If you want to chill out, relax, and enjoy some good tv... look elsewhere.
  • Epic

    By Rellite

The thought and care put into each of these episodes is epic. I love all the nods to the original show!
  • Pure self congratulatory garbage.

    By GameraSoup

I’m a huge fan of the original and 1st revival. I didn’t pay much attention to the 2nd revival but I was extremely excited to see what Jordan Peele would do with his new version of the Twilight Zone. This new series is pure trash, what a waste of time and talent. I understand Twilight Zone has always had social commentary weaved into its story lines but this is just beating you over the head with it. It’s obvious in how proud and self righteous it creative staff is. Especially with that that last episode that made me want to throw my tv out the window. I will not be watching any future season of this version.
  • Go in open minded

    By theau28

I’ve seen a lot of people say that they hated this new take on The Twilight Zone. Obviously everything will never be the same as the original. I believe if you go in watching this with an open mind like I did you will also love it. I believe Jordan Peele did a great job in making it his own but still capturing Rod Sterling’s magic. I enjoyed it very much. Would love to see another season!
  • Just... garbage, and not the good Shirley Manson kind

    By JJJ754

Words cannot express just how disappointing and downright BAD most of these episodes are. The resolution to most are non-sensical, leaving you wondering what the whole point of the entire episode was. And that’s not taking into account getting beat over the head with social justice issues. Serling worked to bring to light the injustices in his day, but they were always in metaphor, and NOT hammered over his audience’s head like this. Even without that, the writing as a whole is neither thought-provoking nor clever. I sincerely hope Mr. Peele has fired his writer’s room and hired a whole new set for season two, because I can’t imagine this iteration going much past that if this lack of quality continues.
  • The Twilight Zone for the 21st Century

    By margiet

Ever since Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone premiered for the first time on October 2nd, 1959, it took us all on a journey of infinite possibilities. Each episode was a cautionary tale of the times we live in. Some of my favorite episodes were Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, and the criminally underrated A Kind of Stopwatch. More than 60 years later, and just off of the success of Get Out & Us, Jordan Peele has delivered a new vision of The Twilight Zone, and it is nothing short of fantastic. Just as the original show did, each of the ten episodes in this reboot deal with topics that are ripped from the headlines. From the #MeToo movement and toxic masculinity in “Not All Men” to police brutality in “Replay,” to the mind-blowing meta-season finale, “Blurryman,” that deals with the endless amounts of reboots, remakes and sequels in Hollywood.
  • Disappointing

I’ve no interest in subscribing to yet another streaming service, so I’ve patiently waited till this was available to purchase. It wasn’t worth the wait or price. Wait till it lands in the $5 bin before adding to your media library.
