    The angle on the ghetto is a great story but I have no idea why this season is looked down upon by other viewers. I really enjoyed it and it's one of the top three seasons in my opinion.

    this is the most underrated season of the wire because people dont want to acknowledge white people can be criminals too. and thats not a racsit remark. this season was very sad showing the plight of the working man and how good people dont survive in criminal lifestyles i was upset that in season 3 this season was barley even referenced each season is wonderfully plotted out and it shows connections in saeson 4 and 5. buy every season in chronological order and you will feel you spent your money well

    The file for the second episode is corrupted and will impair the functionality of whatever device you attempt to download it to. I spent five hours with customer support to try to fix it and have still not repaired my system!!

    This show goes nowhere. It's easy to write a story about unresolved facts. They give titillating stories that never go anywhere. Offensive to the intellect.

  • Another Great Season

    I hesitated at first to get into this show. But by the second episode of the first season I was hooked. This is a well cast, well acted series. But the key to this show is the writing. This a series of great stories. And like another great crime show "Homicide -Life on the Street's"; this show is set in Baltimore. And a number of the cast, writers, and people responsible for bringing this show to air are from Baltimore. All that gives this show a charm and ambiance that's not seen in many shows. I cannot figure out why this show was stopped at five seasons, it was still going strong. Take a chance on just one season, you won't be sorry; this show delivers.

    I can watch and rewatch The Wire and find new depths to explore. These shows are incredibly satisfying. It makes me realize how often we are shortchanged by watching "regular" TV. The plots are authentic, fascinating, challenging and thought provoking. I nominate David Simon as Creative Genius for Our Century--or at least, my hero. Buy this. Anticipate the next episode. Savor it.
