How to Use Subtitles for the Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5 Videos

  1. Move the subtitle files into the same folder as your video files.

  2. Rename the subtitle files to exactly the same name as your video files. e.g. Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5_Episode_1.mp4 and Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5_.srt.

  3. Open the Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5 video in VLC or your media player. The subtitles will automatically appear in the video. If it does not, check if the Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5 srt files are correctly named, then close and restart your video player.



Starfleet becomes involved in a vast conspiracy amidst a Klingon civil war. This forces the Enterprise to become an unwilling pawn against the Romulans as Starfleet's motives are unknown. This leads Picard and Data to undertake a journey to seek out a mysteries member who is trying to make peace between the Romulans and the Vulcans. Meanwhile a visitor from the future arrives onto the Enterprise as Wolf struggles with his own handicap and questions if he should perform the Klingon ritual of suicide. The crew becomes even more conflicted as an injured enemy arrives onto the Enterprise. Peace is seen on the horizon but not until the death of one of the Enterprises own comes to light.

    Other reviewers giving it low stars because "HD isn't available" should remove or revise their review as HD is now available. I added TNG Season 5 blu ray to my Amzon wish list over a year ago, and even tho the price dropped it's still about $40 (not including tax & shipping).

  • Why no seasons 6 and 7?

    One of the greatest TV shows of all time. And it just got better every year. I've seen them all countless times over and I'd love to own them in HD. But I can't bear an incomplete collection. At first I was scratching my head trying to figure out why Seasons 6 and 7 aren't here, but looking through some of the reviews of previous seasons I saw people asking the same questions about earlier seasons earlier this year and last year. It seems the whole TNG series - all 7 seasons - are slowly being digitally remastered with some nice new effects and updated to HD (from the comparatively low quality of the originals). It would seem they've only recently finished Season 5 and it's up now, and so presumably Seasons 6 and 7 are coming, eventually. That's fair enough I suppose. I know the remastering process takes time. This would also explain why the existing seasons are pretty expensive too. Looks like they're worth it. Compare that to the SD only versions of DS9 and VOY (significantly cheaper, but significantly lesser quality) and I'm happy they're doing this, even if I have to wait. Hopefully they're planning to do the same with DS9 and VOY and I presume they'll slowly follow, which will be great. Maybe by the time they've finished this process for all of them, we'll all be wanting the 4K versions. lol.

    I really like this show for it's great acting, the main character development was great, and the plot got better as each season progressed!!! This is more than likely one of the most popular tv series in the U.S. over the last 20 years in my opinion!!!
