Queer As Folk, a drama based on Britain’s controversial series, is about the lives of a group of gay men and women living in Pittsburgh. Focusing on their relationships, their careers, their loves and ambitions, the series is a brave, realistic, funny and sometimes graphic portrayal of society. Entering the world of Brian, Michael, Justin, Emmett, Ted and a lesbian couple, Lindsay and Melanie, we discover characters as real as the people next door doing everyday jobs, raising a child, looking forward to the weekend –all with a strong and healthy interest in romance and sex.

    I want my money back! The whole awesomeness of the show is a brilliant soundtrack that goes along with the great storyline. So sorry I didn’t hear reviews before I bought this. I am completely blind now so I can’t see the hot guys anymore LOL I loved the great soundtrack that went along with the show. So disappointed

    **Warning** Do not purchase as doesn't contain original music from the show as it aired and has new edits that ruin the scenes. What gives iTunes and Showtime??

    This trailblazing series arrives in iTunes without the original music. The finale's prom song jars while the original enhances the story. This is just one of the many places where the original has been marred. Music's role in shaping queer identity has been chronicled by many a queer theorist. There's no doubt that music informs queer identity, as it does other identities, but it can have special purchase for the marginalized and disenfranchised. Music is a part of a community's logos. As much as this show was a light in a dark place for so many of us who came out before Lawrence v. Texas and Obergefell v. Hodges, who found in it believable characters who reflected part of us (though, admittedly, not all), for us changing the series is like whitewashing the Parthenon marbles. The original should not have been altered if only to preserve its historical value.

    I loved this series and was happy to see it on iTunes. It seems as though all the music has been changed. This so drastically changed the scenes that it made it difficult to watch. Having a different song playing during the dance from Prom completely ruined it for me. I'll be buying the boxed sets rather than the iTunes editions.

    Partly why the series was so good was because of the music. I just bought this first season and I'm only 3 episodes in and it feels off to me. Finally I realized that the music is not the same. Why was it changed and can it be changed back? I loved the original music, such a shame!!
