    I was saddened to find out this was only going to be 7 episodes. The story is exciting and I love how "realistic" they made the magic. I will definitely rewatch all the episodes. Too bad there won't be more.

    I keep waiting for this to really grab my attention. The characters are rather dry and our villain is just… flat. You know when you drink a stale soda and all the fizz is gone? Thats what this show reminds me of. The “magic” is sparse and the rest of the show… I keep waiting for it to get better. UPDATE: Episodes 6 and 7 definitely pick up and become more interesting. I just wish the show carried with it the same excitement and emotional impact that these episodes had. The build up is very tiresome.

  • Not as good as I remember

    I read the book soon after it came out and recall really liking it (though I'm now vague on the actual details of the story). And I like the production -- the sets, costumes, props, etc. -- and characters of the the TV show (Mr. Norrell, for example, is much the way I imagined him). But, with the exception of Strange and Childermass, the acting is desultory, and the story is not very compelling. There's very little to grab my interest. If I hadn't paid for a season pass, I'd probably be giving up on it about now (after episode 5).
