  • EXCELLENT!!

**Spoiler** I disagree STRONGLY with those who say the show has lost its spark with the loss of Cutter and I don't find the loss of Jenny a big deal. The dynamics have changed some, but I have always considered it an ensemble show - its strength being in the interaction between ALL the characters. I like the new feel to the show and look forward to whatever comes next!!!!
  • Fantastic!!

I found this season highly enjoyable!! Yes, both characters Nick and Stephen will be missed but the entrance of Jason Flemming as Danny Quinn and the egyptologist Sarah Page definately brings a new rythym to the show. By far my favorite season.

one of the best shows on tv though it was a real bummer when nick cutter died and the show was better before but its still one of the best on tv. must buy if you want to see what jurassic park would be like in britain with the ocasional conspiracy and firefight and some S.A.S. V.S. prehistoric creature action, still waiting for the next season though.
  • The end or not the end, that is the question.

When you rip the heart out of a living being, it dies. While one can hardly consider a television show alive -- even a great one like the first season of PRIMEVAL or the long departed FIREFLY -- they do begin to have a life of their own, kept breathing by the many fans who watch and love. However, with the defection of it's star, Douglas Henshall, the heart was effectively gone and the show truly died. I give it it's due, the special effects are generally dazzling. The genius of the animations or computer graphics have always been the draw for me. The story lines have been very good, also. Sometimes they work better than others, but all shows have this problem. When Stephen died last season the show gave us every indication that Helen would bring him back, then changed it's course with the reasoning clones lose something when they're produced or something of that sort, so no Stephen. I didn't particularly like him, but he added enough to the show and his conflicted emotions via Helen that it was interesting. Helen (Juliet Aubrey) is a decent "bad guy" but not the greatest actress in the world by a long shot. The scene where she announces to all that she and Stephen had been lovers was a prime example of her occasional lapse of acting skills. Like the rest of the world, I decried the loss of Claudia and reemergance of Jenny. I liked the gradual feelings between her and the Prof. even tho' I did wonder why the heck Nick didn't just divorce Helen as soon as he found out she'd been alive for 8 yrs without a word to him. Her leaving of the show, while not as big a jolt as Henshall, still gave one the impression of rats leaving a sinking ship. Andrew-Lee Potts has always been my favorite character probably because I have such a "thing" for dimples. Besides which, he is a decent actor whose character has been allowed to grow. I've also noticed his skills have also grown to the unbelievable extent one wonders why he was still in college and not running some high tech company. Hannah Spearritt is good in her role and I'm glad she at least has stayed the course. Jason Flemyng is Douglas Henshalls replacement and I was prepared to hate him for that reason alone. Honestly, he isn't bad in the role. Very different, but just as stubborn. He lacks the sex appeal of Henshall but does seem to fit in with the rest of the gang. I bought this season, cried during Henshalls very good death scene, was still astounded with the wonderful special effects, and have heard the series has been renewed for 2011. Whether any of the current cast will be around, or whether Douglas Henshall will come to his senses and rejoin the show - I just know they could find a time slip with him in it - still remains to be seen. Will I buy the next season? I don't know.
  • Thank God

This series was cancelled but thank god ITV resigned them, there will be two more seasons that will finally resolve the conflict from the last episode. Great show, and definitely worth the money.
