How to Use Subtitles for the Louie, Season 4 Videos

  1. Move the subtitle files into the same folder as your video files.

    I bought all the other seasons. I love Louie!! But if this has commercials, I can’t pay money for it.

  • Getting right what sitcoms have gotten wrong for years

    Louie is by far the best comedy show I have seen in a long time. This show lacks all of the cheesy, corny, trite, and obvious humor that destroys almost every other comedy series. The characters are DEEP and layers of the onion are constantly peeled back to reveal suprising details when you least expect it. There is lots of comedy in this show but there is also great acting and REAL MOMENTS between the characters which are often subtle and awkward just like real life. Absent are the annoying sterotypical corny obvious easy jokes of your typical lame sitcom. You will want to play episode after episode. PLEASE HOLLYWOOD TAKE NOTE OF A SHOW THAT FINALLY GETS IT RIGHT. Louie you are hilarious but more importantly thanks for sharing yourself warts and all.

  • WHOA! An on-air promo is NOT the same thing as a commercial!

    FX gats paid to air commercials; on-air promos are bought and paid for by FX to promote other programming on their network. By the same logic, you’d also have to “appalled” by all the “commercials” on HBO or the movie trailer “commercials” attached to films. If you are, then by all means, continue with your deduct-a-star indignation. But if you appreciate FX programming and look forward to a chance to take a peek at another show you might like a la Archer, then please stop the madness. And, no, I don’t work for FX.

    Ads at the start an end of the show. And it’s censored??!?! Why on earth are swear words bleeped out and ads inserted at the start and end. Unbelievable. FX is not making me want to purchased my content legally if this is the type of thing it’s doing. Show deserves 5 stars, but the network's ability to take something amazing and screw it up makes it one star.

    All the comments here state that there are ads in the show. So I will not buy it. And, since I have not watched it, I hate it, since it gave me no enternainment whatsoever. One star.

  • Groundbreaking Show

    Louis C.K. seeks to have rebooted the series a bit from the previous four seasons, and this season it is a bit more raw. It's not surface-level comedy, it gets into some pretty revelatory territory, so when the jokes come (wait for them), they're a lot funnier than anything else on television. This show isn't as quotably and consistently hilarious as classics like Seinfeld, Arrested Development or The Office, but it will be every bit as influential. It's a show that uses drama and humor to make you think differently about the world you live in. It actually makes me question whether maybe some of America's greatest philosophers actually might be its best stand-up comedians. If so, Louis C.K. is pretty much Plato.
